Our Clinic

Established in 1986, Wantirna Medical Clinic was one of the first clinics in Wantirna and originally was open 24 hours a day with a GP sleeping on-site overnight to handle any emergencies. While our opening hours have changed, Wantirna Medical Clinic continues to operate as a private doctor owned-and-run clinic providing comprehensive care to families in Wantirna and the surrounding area.  The clinic is open 7 days a week, all year round (excluding Christmas Day and some Public Holidays), and our aim is to provide care for the whole person, for their whole life.

We are proud to be a fully accredited clinic. Accreditation is an integral part of safe and quality general practice in Australia providing independent recognition that our practice meets the requirements of the governing national industry Standards, set by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).

We are also pleased to be involved in the training of GP Registrars through Eastern Victoria GP Training Program. GP Registrars are fully trained and qualified doctors, who are undergoing further training to achieve their qualification as a specialist General Practitioner under the close supervision of some of our senior Doctors.

Registrars do either 6 month, or 12 month rotations and some will return to work with us on a permanent basis once their training is completed and they are awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) which is the specialist general practice qualification accredited by the Australian Medical Council

Wantirna Medical Clinic has been involved in the training of GP Registrars at all levels for more than 25 years and they are a vital part of our team.

We pride ourselves in offering a friendly and professional service to the community and encourage you to speak to us if you have any concerns with any aspect of your care in our clinic.
